"Love is the flower of life, and blossoms unexpectedly and without law, and must be plucked where it is found, and enjoyed for the brief hour of its duration."
- David Herbert Lawrence -

Since the reign of Queen Victoria (1837 - 1901), Flowers became the universal symbols of emotions. How about convey your feelings of love and to have flowers delivered directly to your intended recipient, it doesn't matter the day? Unless you think that you have to wait on a special occasion to give a beautiful bouquet of roses versus flowers (hey! by the way, it's Thanksgiving in Canada on October 9, 2006 - next Monday. My friends, start preparing your Thanksgiving Flowers.). But, think about it a moment. We all love gifts, and research shows that men are just as likely as women to appreciate flowers and presents, most of all for No Reason.

Ladies, you maybe wonder of the fact that men like flowers too. Yes you bet they do!! Recent surveys have shown that as many as 70% of men would appreciate a gift of flowers for any occasion. Indeed, 61% of men of all ages say they would like to receive flowers from a woman for Valentine's Day, according to a nationwide survey conducted by Bruskin/Goldring Research. Seriously, how do you feel when someone let you know that he/she truly care about you, accompany with an unexpected present?

The business philosopher, Jim Rohn once told a story about how he was on a business trip with his wife and they were walking on the street taking in some shops when he saw a person selling roses. He bought a single red rose for his wife for two dollars which she carried around with her the rest of the day. She was so ecstatic that he had bought her a rose and people commented about it all day saying things like, “you must be special” and “he is quite a guy”. Later that evening when they got back to their hotel room the night ended just as well as the day had went, and as Jim said, “for two dollars”. How can you go wrong?

So, Valentine's Day is not the only best time to receive flowers. As the Floral consultant and trendspotter for the SAF (Society of American Florists), Denise Lee said, and with my own experience, it is the gifts given "for no reason at all" that are the most memorable.
